FIFA 18: England Young Lions
Over the last month or so we have been celebrating the fantastic achievements from the England youth players. From the incredible FIFA World Cup victories at under 17 and 20 levels, to the recent senior call ups to face Germany and Brazil.
This image was based on players available on your Career Mode that also started the under-17 World Cup final in India. The squad is oozing with talent and looks promising for the future of international football, providing they can all break into their starting elevens at club level, which is easier said than done considering the likes of Phil Foden (Manchester City) and George McEachran (Chelsea) have a lot of competition.
This month also saw the call ups of three uncapped players who have been performing incredibly well at club level. Tammy Abraham has consistently been scoring important goals for Swansea City this season, who haven't been on the best of form. His individual skill has been showcased and magnified because of this.
Joe Gomez has seen himself hold down a place at centre back of late, a good temperament and excellent composure is that of a much more experienced player. Klopp loves Gomez and seems to believe that he's the man to fix Liverpool's leaky defence, this could be vital for his England future.
Last but not least, Ruben Loftus-Cheek. Possibly the most in form player of the three (at the time of writing). Since the summer he has been one of Crystal Palace's most important players. With strong hold up play, powerful and dynamic runs he's a handful for even the best Premier League defenders.
Loftus-Cheek was also the stand out player for England during the otherwise lacklustre performance for the team against Germany. Providing he can do the same against Brazil, I'm sure he will have already booked his place in the World Cup squad next summer.
To finish off we posted this. A combined team from the World Cup winning sides of 2017. Mostly based on FIFA potential but also trying to get an equal share of players from each team (some under 17 players aren't available on FIFA 18).
If you want to try something different, why not call these guys up for your international career.
